  • Enrichment

At Les Varendes High School, enrichment is at the heart of our commitment to developing well-rounded students. Beyond the classroom, we offer a wide range of activities, clubs and opportunities designed to inspire curiosity, build confidence and help every student discover and grow their individual talents. Students have unique opportunities to nurture their personal development, as well as their academic excellence.

We have a range of activities that challenge our students to try new things, enable them to acquire practical life skills and nurture them to develop into the leaders of tomorrow.

Activities from cookery to yoga, sewing to skateboarding, gardening, Harry Potter Club, Homework Club, as well as study support sessions in Key Stage 4. We offer British Sign Language classes, revision skills, papercraft, choir, orchestra and a whole myriad of sports and drama clubs, as well as peerleadership skills workshops.

Our Enrichment programme also consolidates the importance of our House System by facilitating all students’ participation in whole school events including European Languages Week competitions, Food & Technology competitions, Art, Drama, Music, Maths, Science and Sports competitions.

We aim to provide our students with relevant opportunities to prepare them for the modern world. More than that, the skills and values developed throughout the school, shape our students into moral leaders of the future, who are equipped and ready to leave the world in a better place than they found it.

    The LVHS Legacy Award

As a School we work hard to ensure our pupils receive a high-quality and academically focused education, however this is by no means the limit of our ambitions. We hope to provide opportunities outside of the classroom that we know will prove hugely important to their long-term development.

Our Legacy experiences can broadly be divided into the following categories:

    • Capturing Culture
    • Creative Performance
    • Community Connections
    • Acting Mindfully
    • Staying Safe
